6 Tiny Fruits That Win Over Homemakers
Although priced significantly higher than common fruits, these tiny fruits are winning over consumers with their cute, whimsical shapes and appealing flavors.
1. Cabbage

Miniature cabbages are only about 2.5 - 4 cm in size, much smaller than regular cabbage. This vegetable is rich in vitamin C and is often prepared as a salad, stir-fry, or roasted dish.
The price for one kilogram of these tiny cabbages is sold at 250,000 – 300,000 VND.
2. Pineapple

Mini pineapples, originating from Thailand, were once a "hot" snack online, with a price of 180,000-200,000 VND per kilogram.
At first glance, the tiny, bright yellow pineapple looks no different from those in Vietnam. When eaten, it is very sweet and quite crunchy, though it lacks the distinctive aroma of regular pineapple. The fruit has no core, only a very small stem that can be eaten along with the rest of the fruit.
"In Thailand, mini pineapples are considered 'queens' because, in addition to their excellent sweet flavor, they are also rich in vitamins, especially B1, B6, fiber, and folate," the seller advertised.
3. Pumpkin

Due to their cute shape, appealing flavor, and ability to be prepared into many delicious and beautiful dishes, these tiny pumpkins are becoming a favored food item for many people.
Currently in Hanoi, mini pumpkin seeds are quite expensive, priced at 200,000 VND for a pack of 10 seeds, but many people are still placing orders.
4. Cucumber

Miniature cucumbers, known in English as Mouse Melons, are considered an easy-to-grow and popular food for daily meals, primarily used for decoration and in salads. This fruit is highly sought after because of its unique shape, being only the size of a thumb, with a crunchy texture and eye-catching color.
That's the reason why this type of cucumber has been so enthusiastically "hunted" by consumers when sold in Vietnam. If you want to grow them, the price for one seed of this type is from 20,000 VND, and a young plant costs 100,000 VND or more, depending on the time. In online organic vegetable stores, miniature cucumbers are sold for 250,000 – 350,000 VND per kilogram.
5. Carrot

Miniature carrots have also been a popular item recently. According to K.Anna, who has tried them, these carrots are only the size of a little finger but are sweeter and crunchier than larger carrots. These mini carrots are often cooked whole without needing to be cut or chopped.
Because they are easy to grow and yield well, miniature carrots are sold at a lower price in the Vietnamese market compared to mini pumpkins. In Hanoi, the current price for seeds of this carrot type is 50,000 VND for a pack of 50 seeds. According to the seller, the germination rate for these tiny carrots is 70-80%.
6. Radish

Miniature red radishes are a type of vegetable imported from Russia. In Vietnam, a packet of seeds sells for 60,000 VND. This plant is mainly grown for ornamental purposes due to the striking red beauty of its root. The plant can be harvested after one month of planting, and the price of mini radishes is also quite reasonable, at about 65,000 - 85,000 VND per kilogram.
